Final Thoughts

We are now in the final stretch of the 2025 federal election campaign. It’s almost over, but this is now the sprint to the finish.

With that in mind, I want to send you the simple encouragement to remember that the outcome of this election depends on the work that all of us are able to do. Charitable Status Under Attack

As I’ve written about earlier, one issue that should be getting more attention in this campaign is the pressing threat to charitable status from the Liberals and the NDP. If you missed that post, you can read it here.

Since writing that initial post, we’ve released a couple more updates on this topic — including this video in which Liberal and NDP candidates in my riding admit that they want to take charitable status away from faith organizations, and this video I shared yesterday about how the loss of charitable status actually means that an organization loses all its assets. The loss of the ability to write tax receipts is significant, but nothing compared to the forced disposal of assets.

This threat to charitable status comes at a time when many more Canadians are relying on charitable organizations than in the past. Please consider sharing this post — or the one specifically on charitable status — with leaders in your faith community, as well as family and friends. It’s critical that we get this message out to as many people as possible before election day.

Carney Spending Worse Than Trudeau

National debt has more than doubled under the Liberals over the last 10 years, primarily under Justin Trudeau with Mark Carney serving as an economic advisor.

But now, rather than control spending, Mark Carney is proposing to spend EVEN MORE. Carney’s Liberal platform proposes $130 billion in new spending. Canadians will carry that burden for generations. (Ironically, here is Carney himself advocating against the very same kind of fiscal recklessness he is now proposing…)

A Conservative government will move Canada back to fiscal sanity and common sense.

The promise of our country feels like it is slipping away under this Liberal government. A fourth term for the Liberals would mean more economic damage, more conflict and division, and more ideological attacks on the institutions that sustain our common life. We are in this fight because we love Canada and are committed to defending it against all threats.
